Back in 1961, George Blanda led the Houston Oilers to victory in the first AFL championship game by passing for three touchdowns and kicking all the extra points. In 1965, the New York Jets signed quarterback Joe Namath to a massive contract. And in 1985, UNLV and Utah State played a record-breaking game, scoring a total of 282 points. Each of these moments has left their mark on sports history. The focus on player safety and immediate medical response has become crucial since then.
