The Cybathlon Games, started in 2016, already showcases people with disabilities competing with advanced technologies like Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) and fancy robotic prostheses. Now, you might be wondering why this matters. For a long time, disabled bodies have been pushed aside in sports. But recently, things have started to change. New technologies are making their way into sports, making disability more visible. Yet, not everything is perfect. Sports still often assume that everyone is able-bodied, which isn't fair.A group of researchers wanted to explore what the future of these "hybrid performances" could look like.
