The Gas Incident on the Men in Black Set

Being stuck in a tiny, airtight car pod with a co-star who just let out a big one. That's what happened to Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones during the filming of Men in Black. Director Barry Sonnenfeld recently spilled the beans on a podcast, saying they had to evacuate the set for three hours because of Will's little problem. The scene was intense: a transforming car flipping at hyper speeds. Smith and Jones were sealed inside a pod to film it safely. But then, disaster struck. Well, not quite disaster, but certainly an embarrassing moment. "Roll camera," Sonnenfeld called out. Suddenly, he heard Smith apologize profusely. "So sorry, Tommy. Baz, get the ladder. " Jones tried to calm him down, saying it was no big deal. But the damage was done. The pod was filled with a smell that couldn't be ignored. They rushed to open the pod, and Tommy even used his leg to block the ladder as it came over. Will Smith, it turns out, is quite the farter. And when you're in a small, sealed space with him, well, let's just say it's not pleasant. Sonnenfeld admitted that they had to evacuate the stage for three hours. He also added that despite this incident, Will Smith is a great guy. Just watch out if you're sitting next to him at Disneyland! Even after this mishap, Sonnenfeld went on to direct two more Men in Black movies with Smith. But none of them reached the box office success of the original.
