AC Future and Italian design firm Pininfarina teamed up to introduce their mini smart homes at CES 2025. These homes, named AI-THu, AI-THt, and AI-THd, offer a modern, sustainable solution for people who might struggle to afford traditional houses. The flagship model, AI-THu, is a 400-square-foot smart home that starts at $98, 000.This modular home comes with built-in features like speakers, Wi-Fi, home security, and more. The AI-THu can be expanded up to 1, 200 square feet, with options for add-ons like a patio or under-floor storage. It includes smart AI technology to control lighting, heating, and appliances, along with sustainable features like solar panels and water recycling. Deliveries are expected to start in late 2026. Interestingly, AC Future partners with crypto firm Biomatrix, requiring the use of their app and tokens for preorders. While these mini homes sound promising, it's essential to wait and see how well the smart technology and sustainability features perform in the real world.
