The Unexpected Truck Ride: Former President's Viral Moment
Green Bay, USAFri Nov 01 2024
Meet Andrew Brisson, a local garbage truck driver from Norway, Michigan. One day, while having lunch, he received a call that seemed too good to be true. The voice on the other line invited him to meet former President Trump at a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Brisson didn't believe it at first, but after a chat, he hopped into a shiny truck decorated with Trump and "Make America Great Again" stickers and headed to the airport.
Once Brisson arrived, Trump jumped into the truck's cab, wearing an orange workman's vest. The former president was using this moment to highlight recent comments by President Biden. He had called Trump supporters "garbage" in response to a joke made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. Trump waved to the crowd, blew the truck's air horn, and even asked for a short ride, much to the Secret Service's dismay.
Brisson didn't get a chance to chat much with Trump due to the media swarm. But he did shake hands with him and said hello. The truck driver recalled that Trump's visit was all about making a point, and highlighting Biden's remarks. It was a unique way to turn a viral moment into a political statement, all while giving the Secret Service a scare.
