In the post-pandemic world, the allure of blind emotion has waned, and so has the potency of identity politics. Seeded by the far left to win the 2020 election, identity politics was tailored to address the fears of the socially unrestful. However, with victory came contempt for at least half the electorate, as Democrats' political consultants settled on the strategy of stereotyping Trump supporters as dangerous authoritarians.
The media hype surrounding Harris's gender and racial identity does not resonate with voter priorities, and the supposed beneficiaries of progressive campaigns are worse off. The economic despair in Democrat-run cities, the overregulation, heightened inflation, and the mutilation and indoctrination of children through schools contradict the image of a compassionate party.
The government's warped system, which shows leniency towards criminals and supports campaigns to defund the police, has led to feelings of betrayal among Jewish voters and white men. The once-woke Silicon Valley has turned away from the Democrats due to the demise of innovation caused by interventionist policies.
As the 2024 election approaches, Americans are unwilling to pay the price for luxury beliefs, regardless of the tales told by the polls and the media. Those who do are either fools or mas or masochists.
