Think First, Then Hire

Idaho, Hayden, USAMon Jan 27 2025
You might have heard about Shelly Williams' take on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Well, I've got something to say about that. With over 65 years of life experience and decades in leadership, I've seen a thing or two about hiring. And I've got to disagree with her. Sure, equality at work is important. But when hiring, we shouldn't prioritize DEI over a person's qualifications. It's all about their skills, education, and experience. The color of their skin or where they're from shouldn't be the top consideration. That's just common sense. Senator Toews is a stand-up guy in our community. He's fair and balanced, representing Idaho with integrity. He promotes free speech and respect for all, no matter their gender or ethnicity. So, let's not throw around accusations like "hate speech. " It's unfair and not what leadership is about. Maybe it's time we step back and think about what really matters when we hire someone. It's their abilities, not their looks.
