" These threats, aimed at disrupting their lives and those of their families, were swiftly addressed by law enforcement. Karoline Leavitt, who will serve as Trump's press secretary, confirmed these incidents and expressed gratitude for the quick response.
The FBI stated that they are aware of these threats and are collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to investigate. President Joe Biden was also briefed on the matter and strongly condemned any form of political violence. Special counsel Jack Smith and Judge Tanya Chutkan have previously faced similar threats, showcasing the broad impact of these incidents across ideologies.
Representative Elise Stefanik, chosen by Trump to be the ambassador to the United Nations, was informed of a bomb threat while traveling home for Thanksgiving. Her office reported that local and federal law enforcement responded promptly and professionally. Lee Zeldin, Trump's pick for the Environmental Protection Agency, shared on X about a pipe bomb threat targeting his home, and Brooke Rollins, the choice for Agriculture secretary, also reported a threat against her family.
The US Capitol Police and other law enforcement agencies are keeping details confidential to protect ongoing investigations and prevent further incidents. The Trump transition team declined to provide additional details, and CNN reached out to the US Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security for comment.
