SCIENCE
Time is running out for our planet.

The idea of Earth turning into a fiery wasteland might seem like science fiction, but it's a real concern for some of the brightest minds in science. Stephen Hawking, a famous physicist, warned that our planet could become unlivable by the year 2600. His predictions have caught the eye of NASA, which agrees that our current habits could lead to a grim future.
Hawking's warning was not just a random guess. He based it on solid science. He looked at how quickly we're using up resources and how fast the population is growing. He painted a picture of a future where people are packed together so tightly that there's barely any room to move. This isn't just about comfort; it's about whether we can survive.
History shows that even strong civilizations can fall. A recent find of a 2, 000-year-old tax fraud case shows how societies can crumble under pressure. Hawking's timeline gives us about 575 years to figure out a solution.
NASA hasn't said Hawking's exact timeline is correct, but they do agree that we're heading for trouble if we keep using resources at this rate. They've been studying Earth for over 50 years and have seen the problems firsthand. They've even seen ancient trees coming out of the ice, showing how fast our climate is changing.
Hawking had a bold idea to save humanity: moving to other planets. He thought we should start planning to live on other worlds, just in case something bad happens here. He backed a project to send tiny probes to explore other star systems. These probes could find new homes for us among the stars.
But we don't have to go that far. NASA is looking at places like Mars for potential homes. They're also finding new species on Earth, reminding us why we need to take care of our home planet while looking for new ones. The question is, will we listen to these warnings? We have time, but maybe not as much as we think. Both Hawking and NASA agree that we need to act fast to save our planet and plan for our future in the stars.
