Top Performers to Watch in This Weekend's Basketball Showdown

This weekend, the CBS Sports Classic is taking place at Madison Square Garden. North Carolina will face No. 18 UCLA first, and then No. 4 Kentucky will go up against Ohio State. While North Carolina hasn't had the best start, their star guard RJ Davis is still shining. He's averaging 18. 6 points and 4. 0 assists. He was even picked to win National Player of Year before the season began! Davis has been leading North Carolina even with their slow start. Kentucky's new coach, Mark Pope, has a whole new team this year. He picked up players like Lamont Butler and Otega Oweh through the transfer portal. Butler is a big name from the 2023 Final Four, where he made a game-winning shot. He just had a perfect game last weekend against Louisville, scoring 33 points. Oweh is also doing great things for Kentucky, leading them in scoring and steals. On the Ohio State side, we have Brice Sensabaugh. He's averaging 14. 8 points and 5. 1 assists. He's had some really big games this season too. Another name to watch is USC transfer TJ Bamba. He might not score a lot, but he's a fantastic defender.
