Tragedy Strikes Walmart: Teen Found Dead in Store Oven

Last Saturday night, a 19-year-old Walmart employee was sadly found deceased in the store’s walk-in oven. Halifax Regional Police in Nova Scotia, Canada, arrived at the store after receiving a call around 9:30 p. m. The woman was discovered in the bakery’s large oven. The cause and manner of her death remain unknown as the investigation is still ongoing. Police are working closely with Occupational Health and Safety, as well as the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service. Walmart has temporarily closed the store while the situation is being investigated. Walmart expressed heartfelt sympathy for the employee and her family in a statement. The company is offering support to its employees, including virtual care and on-site counseling. Meanwhile, the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration has issued a stop-work order for the bakery and one of its equipment due to the investigation.
