New legal documents have brought to light some serious claims about the behavior of actor and director Justin Baldoni on the set of the movie "It Ends With Us. " According to these documents, a female producer, identified as Saks, faced a hostile work environment. Saks reported that Baldoni frequently yelled at her and displayed aggressive behavior. One incident involved Baldoni approaching Saks from behind, yelling, and slamming his hands on a chair next to her before storming off. This incident was so intense that Saks stated she would leave the movie if Baldoni acted that way again.
Saks also witnessed Baldoni being dismissive towards the screenwriter, Christy Hall. Additionally, actress Jenny Slate, who played a role in the film, expressed concerns about Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath to Saks. Saks then reached out to a Sony executive, highlighting the "real issues" on set and suggesting that Baldoni be replaced as director and that Heath's access to the set be restricted. Despite Saks' repeated requests for an investigation and a safer work environment, Wayfarer allegedly did not take any action.
In a deposition, Saks testified that she felt physically intimidated by Baldoni during one incident. She described a stressful day of shooting where Baldoni approached her from behind, questioned her about the scene, and then yelled at her before slamming his hands on a chair and walking away. Saks mentioned that this was the first time she felt physically intimidated. She also revealed that Baldoni yelled at her during three separate incidents, including a Zoom call where he later apologized in front of the entire group. Saks also found it inappropriate that Baldoni invited the crew to the Russian baths to relax and raised her concerns with Heath, who said he would talk to Baldoni about it.
The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni began in December 2024 when Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment. Baldoni denied the allegations, stating that Lively's claims were false and intended to tarnish his reputation. In June, Baldoni's lawsuit was dismissed, but Lively's case is still ongoing and is scheduled for trial in March 2026. Lively's team has argued that the evidence supports her claims and that they should be sent to a jury.
