Trump and Musk Sing Together at Mar-a-Lago

Last Wednesday evening, President-elect Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk took a break from politics to join forces with opera singer Chris Macchio for a performance of "God Bless America" at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. The event was part of the festivities marking Trump's upcoming return to the White House. A video of the event, shared by White House deputy director of communications Margo Martin, shows Trump and Musk singing alongside Macchio. They enthusiastically gestured, raising and lowering their arms in time with the music. Macchio hit the high notes, and the trio ended with a bow before exiting the stage together.The performance sparked various reactions online. Some fans expressed admiration for Trump and Musk, while others noticed Musk's occasional glances at Macchio, possibly seeking guidance on the lyrics. Earlier in the week, Trump announced that Musk would lead a new Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, alongside former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Despite its name, DOGE is not an official government agency but will provide advice to the White House. Musk, the world's richest man, has been a frequent presence at Mar-a-Lago since the election, reportedly spending nearly every day with Trump. The two have developed a close bond, with Trump jokingly stating that Musk won't leave his side until he decides otherwise.
