Trump’s third week as the president was packed with lots of international drama, bureaucratic turmoil and controversy surrounding Elon Musks' role in the government. All action started with Trump’s tariff ban on goods coming from Mexico and Canada, but politicians and the public spoke up against it. Some countries resorts countermeasures. The US and Mexico decided to put through their own border security plans to stop the flow of drugs like fentanyl instead of fighting each other. Trump hasn't been completely quiet after the not-immediate war about tariffs. He is pushing ahead with a new round oftariffs on goods from China. Now USAID is under threat but hasbeen made to have its work reviewed by someone from the state department. Trumps actions are supported by Republican Party but his Democratic rivals, and others in the government don’t seem too happy about these things but don’t seem to be having much luck in stopping him. With all the political buzz, public service sectors staff are struggling under the pressure and it may have an effect on people who get federal aid.
Oh, and Tesla’s location. Trump allowed Elon Musk , who is aspecial type of temporary employee who doesn’t have to worry about all the bureaucratic hoops other people have to, but his statements about USAID have put him in the spotlight, so it can be confusing sometimes and whether his real role in the the narrative needs better clarification. Trump hasn’t hesitated to sign his executive orders as he gets things goingof his term -- and in record time. The main takeaways are that he makes a lot of big moves in his terms in the super-fast lane. What’s next? Symbols and metaphors can make explanations easier to understand. Technically speaking, federal outright chief executive orders are not laws although they have more power than any statutory authority of a Department head or military commanders, perhaps. In theory, Congress has the power to cancel these orders without presidential involvement, but unless the Senate intervenes by law.
