Trump's Chat with Joe Rogan: A Viewership Hit
AUSTIN, TEXAS, USASun Oct 27 2024
Donald Trump's three-hour podcast chat with Joe Rogan has become a massive hit, racking up over 26 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours. This makes it one of the most-watched episodes in the history of "The Joe Rogan Experience. " The podcast, which has 14. 5 million Spotify followers and 17. 5 million YouTube subscribers, discussed a wide range of topics, including UFOs, whale mental health, and Trump's views on the 2020 election.
Rogan's podcast, the most-watched in the world, doesn't release viewership data for individual episodes on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. But the YouTube views suggest this Trump interview is among the biggest. It even outperformed other podcasts in the 2024 presidential campaign.
The episode is just shy of the top 10 most-watched episodes in the show's 15-year history. The most-watched episode, featuring Elon Musk, has over 68 million views. Musk, who endorsed Trump, famously smoked marijuana and drank whiskey with Rogan in that episode.
Rogan's podcast was exclusively on Spotify until earlier this year. Episodes from that time were later uploaded to YouTube without full viewership data. The last episode to match the Trump interview's views was in May 2020, featuring Alex Jones and Tim Dillon. Jones, a conspiracy theorist, was ordered to pay almost $1 billion to Sandy Hook victims' families.
During the interview, Rogan didn't endorse Trump. He had previously endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. , who suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump. Trump praised Rogan, and they shared a laugh about Trump's impression of President Joe Biden. Rogan also expressed interest in interviewing Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, but her campaign confirmed she won't appear before Election Day.
