Former President Donald Trump made a visit to a Pennsylvania McDonald’s recently, spending some time working behind the counter. This wasn’t just a casual stop; it was part of his ongoing criticism of Kamala Harris’s past experience working at the fast-food chain. Trump even went as far as to say she was lying about it. But, as it turns out, the McDonald’s workers weren’t very impressed with Trump’s performance. First off, Trump didn’t follow some basic rules that all McDonald’s employees are supposed to follow. He didn’t wear a hairnet or gloves, which are essential for keeping food safe. And this wasn’t the first time the Bucks County Health Department had noted issues at this particular McDonald’s. Past inspections had found problems with employees not washing their hands properly and not wearing hair restraints. The workers at the McDonald’s took to Reddit to share their thoughts. They pointed out that Trump didn’t wear the usual approved uniform and didn’t even have a hairnet. One worker wrote that Trump’s stint behind the counter was just a photo op and not a real look at what it’s like to work there day after day. Another mentioned that he didn’t even wear non-slip shoes. Trump’s visit wasn’t just a quick stop; the restaurant closed for 30 minutes while he was there. It’s unclear if the workers were paid during that time. The average fast-food worker makes around $13 to $15 per hour. Trump has been avoiding questions about whether he supports raising the minimum wage. Instead, he’s been focusing on his own experience at McDonald’s, claiming he now has 15 minutes more experience than Harris.
