President Donald Trump recently met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. After the meeting, Trump suggested that both Ukraine and Russia should stop fighting and accept the current situation. He said, "Enough blood has been shed. " Trump also mentioned that both sides should claim victory and let history decide the outcome. This is not the first time Trump has changed his stance on the war. Earlier, he had shown support for Ukraine and even thought they could win back lost territories. But after talking to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump's tone shifted. He now seems less eager to help Ukraine with advanced weapons like the Tomahawk missiles. Zelenskyy, on the other hand, wants these missiles to strike deeper into Russian territory. He believes this could push Putin to negotiate. However, Trump is hesitant. He said he needs to ensure the U. S. has enough weapons for itself. Zelenskyy admitted that not getting a clear "yes" or "no" from Trump was disappointing. Trump also mentioned that he might meet Putin soon. He said it's important to make the meeting comfortable for everyone, hinting that Zelenskyy might not be directly involved. Zelenskyy, however, made it clear that Russia is an enemy, not just because of personal feelings, but because they attacked Ukraine. Despite Trump's claims that he can handle Putin, his peace efforts seem to have stalled. Putin has not shown interest in direct talks with Zelenskyy. Meanwhile, Russia continues to bomb Ukraine. Trump's confidence in his ability to manage the situation remains unshaken, but the war drags on.
