Department of Education and give control back to states. A video of this speech went viral on social media, sparking different reactions from people. Some agreed that education should be managed locally, while others thought it was a bad idea because education is crucial for kids' future and the country's progress. This isn't the first time Trump has mentioned closing the Department of Education. He talked about it in his Project 2025 plan and on Fox News in June 2024. In this project, it says that since the Department was created, education results haven't improved. They think giving more power to states and offering more school choices will help everyone, especially those from poorer areas.
