Trump's September Donations: Small Amounts, Big Support

Last month, former President Trump’s campaign team gathered a whopping $160 million in donations. That’s a lot of money! The interesting part? Nearly all of it came from small contributions. We're talking about 96% of the total donations being under $200 each. That shows there are many people who believe in Trump and want to support him financially, even if they can’t give a lot at once. One of his advisers said that these donations will help keep the momentum going for Trump's campaign. They think this money will inspire more Americans and fuel future efforts. “President Trump is still inspiring millions of regular folks to join his movement,” Brian Hughes, a senior staffer on the campaign, explained. “In September alone, we saw almost 2. 5 million small donations. ” As the election gets closer, Trump is working hard to raise more money. He was recently in Midland, Texas, for an event where people paid big bucks to be there. Some even spent over $900,000 for a special seat that included a photo opportunity and a “Trump 47” chair. That’s a fancy way to show support! But let’s compare Trump's numbers with his main opponent, Vice President Harris. She raised more than $361 million in August, which is quite a bit more than Trump’s September total. It’ll be interesting to see if Trump can catch up or even surpass these numbers as the election heats up.
