When asked about Trump, Cox said that he disagrees with Trump's approach to politics. He thinks that Trump is not interested in uniting the country, but rather in dividing it. Cox also said that the political temperament of America is a reflection of the people, not just the politicians. He believes that everyone needs to work together to make things better. Looking ahead to 2028, Cox thinks that Shapiro would make a good president. He said that he is biased towards governors because they have to actually get things done. Shapiro, on the other hand, believes that the country needs more moral clarity and strong leaders after Trump's second term. He thinks that Cox can provide that kind of healing and moral clarity wherever he goes next.
