Ukraine Gets New Weapons Worth $400M from the U. S.

On Monday, the Pentagon revealed that Ukraine will receive another batch of military aid from the United States. This new package is valued at $400 million and includes various types of weapons and equipment. The U. S. government aims to support Ukraine's defense against Russia's invasion.
The package includes ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), different types of artillery and mortar rounds, TOW missiles, and Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems. Additionally, Ukraine will get armored vehicles like M113 armored personnel carriers, communication equipment, small arms, grenades, training equipment, and infrastructure protection gear. Spare parts and training services are also part of the deal.
This latest delivery marks the 68th time the U. S. has sent military aid to Ukraine since the start of the war. The goal is to help Ukraine meet its urgent needs on the battlefield and protect itself from Russian aggression.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin visited Kyiv to discuss the future of the war and how the U. S. can continue to support Ukraine. The U. S. works with over 50 allies and partners through the Ukraine Defense Contact Group to provide necessary military support.
