But relax! Having these genes are not a death sentence.
It is your daily routine that can steer you towards danger. Smoking, eating poorly, and being a couch potato can increase the likelihood. That is bad news. Other habits can mess with your body in ways that can lead to cancer. People need to be more aware of choices they make each day. The bad news is that it is not just about pancreatic cancer. It can lead to many other cancers.
The truth is there are steps that you can take to break free. Learn about your family history. But don't stop there. Be aware of your daily habits. If you're playing with fire, talk to a doctor about getting screened. The sooner, the better. It can be your life or death
Everyone is in this fight together. More knowledge is power to those fighting this battlefield. Doing things like screening can make a massive difference and save lives.
Don't forget to do your part. Put down the smoke, get off of the couch and eat healthier. Friends and family that have already beaten it will thank you for it. Using common sense can go a long way. The question is will you play your part?
