The University of New Orleans (UNO) men's basketball team showed off their new talent in an exhibition game against Sacramento State. The game ended with UNO winning 89-76. This was the first chance for fans to see the team in action at Lakefront Arena.
The team has a new leader, Percy "Master P" Miller, who is now called "Coach P. " He has been working hard to make the games more fun for fans. New things like a big screen and live music were added to the game. During halftime, a marching band and a hip-hop artist performed.
UNO has 13 new players, and they showed off their skills with big dunks and long-distance shots. The coach, Stacy Hollowell, was happy with how the team played. He said the team worked well together, and many players contributed to the win.
One of the standout players was Jakevion Buckley, a transfer from Southeastern. He scored 25 points and had 8 assists. He said he is happy with his decision to join UNO and is focused on playing well.
