This week, five boys athletes are in the spotlight for their outstanding performances. Forrest Barnes from Burr and Burton showed off his skiing skills at the Southern District championships. He won the giant slalom event and came in second in another race. His fastest time was a speedy 36. 29 seconds. Christian Butler from South Burlington is making waves on the ice. He scored two goals in a big game against Champlain Valley and helped his team win the CSB Cup for the eighth straight time. Ryan Laroche from Missisquoi is another hockey standout. He scored two goals and assisted on another in a game against St. Johnsbury. He also scored in a shutout victory over Milton.Pascal Munezero from Rice is a basketball sensation. Fans can vote for their favorite athletes online. Voting started on Monday and ends on Thursday at 9 p. m. The winners will be announced on Friday.
