Wake County is facing a serious issue with rabies. A fox that bit a man on Tuesday was found to have rabies on Wednesday. This is the fourth case this month. The attack happened near Pulley Town Road and Thornburg Drive in Wake Forest. Animal Control was called in to catch the fox and test it. Luckily, no one else was bitten.
The county is now checking the neighborhood to see if any pets need vaccinations. They are also asking anyone who saw the fox to call the Wake County Communicable Disease line. This is important to prevent more cases.
