Get ready for a toasty trick-or-treating experience, folks! This year, a warm front is coming to the Great Lakes, Northeast, and mid-Atlantic regions, making Halloween one of the warmest in recent memory. On Thursday, nearly 50 daily high temperature records might be broken, with temperatures soaring above 20 degrees more than the norm. In Boston, it could reach 80 degrees, one of the hottest Halloweens ever. Philadelphia might hit 81 degrees, also a high for the holiday. New York City may see temperatures of 75 degrees. Washington, D. C. , could tie for third hottest Halloween at 80 degrees. Not everyone will enjoy the warmth, though. Some trick-or-treaters in the Upper Midwest and the Ark-La-Tex region might need rain jackets, and those in Duluth, Minnesota, and the Cascades and Olympics might need snow gear. Strong thunderstorms could also cause some trouble.
