DIRECTV has been a leader in multiview technology for nearly 20 years. Now, they're bringing this feature to their streaming service with seven new multiview channels. These channels let you watch up to four livestreams at once. You can switch audio or go full screen on any channel with just a click.
The new multiview channels cater to different interests. There are options for sports fans, news lovers, kids, and business channel viewers. This means you can watch multiple games, news channels, or a mix of shows all at the same time.
DIRECTV's head of product, Vikash Sharma, said, \"We're proud to have pioneered multi-channel viewing nearly two decades ago. Now we're bringing the next generation of multiview to streaming with new mix channels to give consumers more flexibility and control over how they watch and discover their favorite programming. \"
These new multiview channels are available in several DIRECTV packages. Most are included in the Signature packages. Many are also available in corresponding Genre Packs. Plans with Genre Packs start at $19. 99 per month. DIRECTV offers introductory discounts on many of its packages. Plus, all DIRECTV streaming plans come with a five-day free trial.
However, it's important to note that these multiview channels are only available in select markets where DIRECTV has the rights to stream ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC local stations. Also, new residential customers only. A valid card is required. Your card may be charged a temporary hold during the trial period. After the trial, service renews monthly unless canceled.
