Weather Shift Ahead: From Storms to Showers

South Carolina, USASun Dec 29 2024
Early Sunday in the Upstate region of South Carolina saw some exciting weather, with several tornado warnings kicking off the day. These warnings started around 6:15 a. m. and wrapped up by about 9:15 a. m. , affecting both the Upstate and parts of Western North Carolina. As of now, no tornadoes have been confirmed, which is a relief to many. Although the severe weather threat has subsided, a few scattered showers are expected to roll in, with temperatures hovering in the 60s. On Monday, things are likely to calm down again, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures reaching the mid-60s. The lows should dip to the 40s, providing a bit of a chill. As we approach New Year's Eve on Tuesday, there's a chance of spotty showers, but it's not as likely as what we saw over the weekend—around a 50% chance.
