British Columbia is bracing for a mix of weather conditions. Environment Canada has issued various advisories across the province. Rainfall warnings are up for the west coast, with Metro Vancouver expecting up to 70 millimetres before noon. This could disrupt Remembrance Day events happening in the morning. Special weather statements are out for the Fraser Valley and Sunshine Coast.
On Highway 3, from Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass, a snowfall warning is active. It's expected to last until Wednesday, with the heaviest snowfall predicted between today and Tuesday afternoon. Up to 40 centimetres of snow and winds gusting up to 50 km/h are forecasted.
A fog advisory is also in place for the Okanagan Connector between Merritt and Kelowna. Earlier, there was a freezing rain warning for B. C. 's northeastern Interior, but it has since been lifted.
These weather conditions highlight the importance of being prepared for various weather events, especially during significant days like Remembrance Day.
