Weekend Weather: A Mixed Bag of Rain, Snow, and Wind

Chicago is in for a weather rollercoaster this weekend. After a brief taste of spring on Friday, winter is making a comeback with a vengeance. The National Weather Service warns of a messy mix of rain and snow on Saturday. Expect the snow to stick around in the northern parts of the city, especially on grassy areas and other cold surfaces. The weather isn't done yet. After noon, the rain and snow will keep alternating until 1 p. m. Then, it's just snow showers for the rest of the day. Don't expect a big snowstorm, though. The National Weather Service says we're looking at less than half an inch of new snow.It's going to be chilly, with temperatures barely reaching 36 degrees. And if that's not enough, winds could gust up to 30 miles per hour. So, if you're heading to the Bears game at Soldier Field on Saturday night, bundle up! Scattered snow showers will be around, and temperatures will drop to a low of 22 degrees. Sunday is looking a bit better. It will start off mostly cloudy, but the sun should make an appearance as the day goes on. Temperatures will be around 32 degrees, which is still cold but not as bad as Saturday.
