This unusual warmth is stretching from the Great Plains to the Midwest and South, with temps soaring 15 to 25 degrees above average. Cities like Little Rock, Wichita, and Austin might start the week with record highs.By Tuesday, the warmth moves east into the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. By Thursday, it shifts again to the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. While it may be jacket-free trick-or-treating this year, these warmer Halloweens could become the norm due to climate change. According to Climate Central, October nights have gotten warmer by 3. 3 degrees Fahrenheit on average since 1970 in 216 U. S. cities.
