Wendy's Plans Major Shake-Up
Wendy's is making big changes. They are shutting down a lot of their restaurants. The company's temporary boss, Ken Cook, said they will close between 200 and 350 places. These are the ones that aren't doing well. The closures will start this year and go on until 2026.
Why Are They Doing This?
They want to make the rest of their restaurants better. When they close the bad ones, the good ones can do even better. They think this will help them make more money. But they didn't say which places will close.
This isn't the first time Wendy's has done this. Last year, they closed 140 places for the same reason. They weren't making enough money. Now, they need to do it again.
Wendy's is Having a Tough Time
Their sales went down by 4.7%. Other places like McDonald's and Burger King are doing well. They have good deals and ads that people like. Wendy's needs to catch up.
But There's Some Good News
Their new chicken tenders, called Tendys, are a hit. People love them so much that some places sold out before they even started advertising. They hope this is a good sign for the future.
