What Side Effects Did COVID-19 Vaccine Recipients Experience in Bangladesh?

PakistanFri Nov 22 2024
You might be wondering what kind of side effects people experienced after getting the COVID-19 vaccine in Bangladesh. An online survey was conducted between July 11th and 16th, 2021, to find out. Out of 175 people who got the vaccine, about half got one dose and the other half got two doses. Most people got the SinoPharm vaccine, followed by AstraZeneca, and a few got Pfizer. Surprisingly, more than half of the recipients had some side effects. The most common ones were headaches, feeling sleepy, fever, and muscle pain. Women and people who were more concerned about the vaccine reported more side effects. People who got the SinoPharm vaccine often had headaches, fever, and felt sleepy. Those who got the Pfizer vaccine usually had fever and muscle pain. And for AstraZeneca, muscle pain and feeling sleepy were common. So, it looks like different vaccines can cause different side effects. Also, women seem to have it worse, and side effects can be more noticeable after the second dose.
