TropicsMediterraneanThu Nov 14 2024
Fifty-five years ago, a journal was born with a mission to improve animal health and production in hot regions. This journal, let's call it "Tropical Livestock Health, " focuses on original research and observations that can boost livestock health and productivity. It's in line with the United Nations' goals like ending poverty, hunger, and promoting good health. Now, to mark its 55th birthday, the journal's team is looking ahead to the next 55 years. They're talking about the big challenges that animal and vet scientists in the tropics and nearby areas will face. These challenges aren't easy, ranging from production issues to diseases spread by bugs or parasites, and those that jump borders. The team has a plan, but it's not guaranteed to work. Still, they're committed to making a difference. Only time will tell if their ideas will help make a real change.
