Who Will Lead the Cowboys? Coaching Search Heats Up!
Dallas, USATue Jan 14 2025
The Dallas Cowboys are on the hunt for a new head coach, and it's a big deal! Mike McCarthy, who was expected to stay, is out. So, who's next? Some think Pete Carroll could be a good fit, even though working for the Cowboys might be tough. Or maybe Jerry Jones, the team's owner, might go for Ben Johnson, the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator. He's done great things with the Texans' DeMeco Ryans, but unproven coaches can be a gamble. Kliff Kingsbury, who's great with quarterbacks, probably won't get the job because he hasn't shown he can lead a team. The new coach will have to find a way to make the most of a quarterback who's not as mobile as he used to be. Maybe they should hire a magician, like David Copperfield, to make that happen! Former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson had a funny idea: swap head coaches with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike Tomlin is great and would fit well with the Cowboys. Dan Quinn, who was considered for the job, went to Washington and won a playoff game right away. The Cowboys should thank the Giants for keeping Brian Daboll.
