Who's Getting Who? NFL Draft 2025 First Round Predictions
USAWed Apr 09 2025
The NFL draft is always full of surprises, but some trends are starting to emerge. Quarterbacks are in high demand, with three teams likely to snag one in the first round. The Tennessee Titans are eyeing Cam Ward from Miami, hoping he can turn their franchise around. The Titans have been spending a lot of time with Ward, and it seems they are serious about making him their guy. Unless another team swoops in with an offer they can't refuse, Ward might just be the Titans' new quarterback.
The Cleveland Browns, on the other hand, are looking to bolster their receiving corps. Travis Hunter from Colorado is the top player in this draft, and the Browns could use some help at receiver. They might pass on a quarterback to grab Hunter, who can shine at receiver or cornerback. The Browns need a star player, and Hunter could be the one to fill that role.
The New York Giants are also in the market for some defensive help. Abdul Carter from Penn State is a top edge player, and the Giants could use him to strengthen their front seven. The Giants have won titles with a strong defensive line, and Carter could be just what they need to keep that tradition going.
The New England Patriots are in the market for a left tackle. Will Campbell from LSU might not be an All-Pro, but he could be a solid starter for the Patriots. Campbell has the look of a guard, but he could be the Patriots' left tackle for years to come.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are making some moves. They traded down to pick 10, which means they will have more picks to add more players. The Jaguars need all the help they can get, and this move could give them the flexibility to build a stronger team.
The Las Vegas Raiders are in need of some help at cornerback. Jahdae Barron from Texas could be a great fit. He can play nickel, which is exactly what the Raiders need. The Raiders have been struggling at cornerback, and Barron could be the solution they've been looking for.
The New York Jets are looking to beef up their defensive line. Mason Graham from Michigan is a top player, and the Jets could use him to strengthen their middle defense. The Jets have been passing on tackles for the offense, but Graham could be the pick they need to shore up their defense.
The Carolina Panthers are looking to add some pass-catching help for Bryce Young. Colston Loveland from Michigan is the best pass-catching tight end in the draft, and he could be just what the Panthers need. The Panthers have a good offensive line, but they need more weapons for Young to throw to.
The New Orleans Saints are thinking about their future at quarterback. Derek Carr can't play forever, and the Saints need to start thinking about who will take over. Shedeur Sanders from Colorado could be that guy. He might sit for a bit, but he could be the Saints' quarterback of the future.
The Chicago Bears are looking to upgrade their passing game. Tetairoa McMillan from Arizona is a receiver who can make big plays. With Brian Thomas Jr. as the top guy, McMillan could be a great addition to the Bears' offense.
The San Francisco 49ers are in need of some help off the ball. Jalon Walker from Georgia can play off-the-ball linebacker and rush the passer. The 49ers need help in that area, and Walker could be the answer.
The Dallas Cowboys are looking to add another option to go with CeeDee Lamb. Matthew Golden from Texas can fly and will be a nice complement to Lamb. The Cowboys need to get their offense going again, and Golden could be the spark they need.
The Miami Dolphins are looking to strengthen their defensive interior. Walter Nolen from Ole Miss has the quickness and power they need. The Dolphins have to take one or two defensive linemen in this draft, and Nolen could be the one they go with.
The Indianapolis Colts are in the market for a tight end. Tyler Warren from Penn State is a top player, and he could be a great addition to the Colts' offense. Warren could be a nice security blanket for either Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones, two quarterbacks who need that.
The Atlanta Falcons are looking to improve their pass rush. Shemar Stewart from Texas A&M is a freaky athlete, and he could be just what the Falcons need. The Falcons have been needing edge help for decades, and Stewart could be the answer.
The Arizona Cardinals are in need of a young right tackle. Armand Membou from Missouri is a great athlete, but there are some concerns about him. He is only 20 years old, so there is growth potential. The Cardinals need a young right tackle, and Membou could be the one they go with.
The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to add a young pass rusher. Mykel Williams from Georgia is a big-bodied player who didn't have a great season in 2024, but the tools are there. The Bengals need help off the edge, and Williams could be the answer.
The Seattle Seahawks are looking to improve their offensive line. Kelvin Banks Jr. from Texas is a top player, and he could be a great addition to the Seahawks' offense. Banks could be an All-Pro guard, but he could also play either tackle spot. This makes sense for the Seahawks.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to add some speed to their defense. Jihaad Campbell from Alabama is a speedy player who would fit perfectly into what they need for the Todd Bowles style of defense. The Buccaneers need help at linebacker, and Campbell could be the answer.
The Denver Broncos are in need of a running back. Omarion Hampton from North Carolina is a consistent 1, 300-yard rusher. He's a home-run threat who can also pass protect, which is key for the Broncos.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to add a young quarterback to develop. Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss could be that guy. Even if they get Aaron Rodgers, they need a young quarterback to develop. Dart could spend a season or two watching Rodgers and then take over.
The Los Angeles Chargers are looking to strengthen their defensive interior. Kenneth Grant from Michigan is a power player who can push the pocket. The Chargers have had some turnover inside on the defensive line this spring, so Grant would be an ideal pick.
The Green Bay Packers are in need of a cornerback. Will Johnson from Michigan is a top player, but he missed time with injury and his 40 time is a concern. Even so, the Packers have to address this position and his ball skills are outstanding.
The Minnesota Vikings are looking to add a safety. Malaki Starks from Georgia is a rangy player who would fit in the Brian Flores defense. He has corner cover skills, too.
The Houston Texans are in need of an offensive lineman. Tyler Booker from Alabama is a power player who can step in and become an immediate starter. The Texans have revamped their offensive line, but it's still not good enough.
The Los Angeles Rams are looking to add a cornerback. Maxwell Hairston from Kentucky is a top player, but he should go higher than this. The Rams need corner help, and Hairston would be an immediate starter. He can run and he's tough, but he's slight of build.
The Baltimore Ravens are in need of some help off the edge. Donovan Ezeiruaku from Boston College is a speedy edge player, and the Ravens have shown in the past they will take speedy edge players in the draft. Ezeiruaku fits that perfectly.
The Detroit Lions are looking to add an offensive lineman. Donovan Jackson from Ohio State is a top player, and he could be a great addition to the Lions' offense. Jackson can also play tackle, which he did last year at Ohio State. But his top position is guard.
The Washington Commanders are in need of a receiver. Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State is a smart receiver who runs better than he gets credit for doing. Jayden Daniels would come to love his game.
The Buffalo Bills are looking to add a cornerback. Shavon Revel Jr. from East Carolina is a long corner at 6-foot-2 and a willing tackler, which the Bills need in their defense. Revel is coming off a torn ACL suffered in October but should be ready for training camp.
The Kansas City Chiefs are in need of a left tackle. Josh Simmons from Ohio State is a top player, but he is coming off a torn patellar tendon. The Chiefs can afford to make this pick and wait with Jaylon Moore signed as a free agent.
