Why Bjorn’s Death in Alien: Romulus Changed My Mind

You know how sometimes a chat can completely change how you feel about something? That’s what happened to me after talking with Aileen Wu about the movie Alien: Romulus. We got chatting about the tough deaths in the film, and she mentioned Bjorn’s death, which made me see him in a new light.
Bjorn, the guy we love to hate in the movie, wasn’t always so bad. He had a rough time, you know? His mom died before the movie even started, and it was all because of some synthetic trying to save others. Then, to make things worse, he finds out he’s going to be a dad. But he never gets to meet his kid. It’s sad when you think about it.
Director Fede Alvarez is really good at making us care about characters. Even the ones we don’t like at first. Bjorn’s death was no exception. It was tough to watch, but it made me see him differently. He wasn’t just a jerk; he had a story.
You can catch Bjorn’s heartbreaking death scene along with the rest of Alien: Romulus on Hulu or by buying a digital copy. If you like physical copies, you’ll be happy to know it's coming out on 4K, Blu-Ray, and even VHS on December 3!
