Why Can't We Just Enjoy Sports Without Worrying?
Nashville, USASun Oct 13 2024
Have you ever stopped to think about why we get so stressed about our favorite teams winning or losing? It's like we can't just sit back and enjoy the game for what it is. Maybe it's because of all those sports shows always talking about who's going to win the championship this year. They make it seem like that's the only thing that matters.
But let's face it, winning a championship is super hard. Teams in the NBA and MLB might only win once every 30 years, and even less in the NFL and NHL. So, why not just enjoy the game while it's happening?
Being a fan should be fun, right? You root for your team because you like watching them play, not just because you want them to win a title. Even if they don't win, you can still enjoy the journey. Take last Saturday, for example. Who would've thought Vanderbilt would beat Alabama 40-35? It was a surprise, but a fun one!
And what about college basketball? As soon as the season starts, people are already talking about the NCAA Tournament. But what about all the games in between? They matter too! Winning a championship is mostly about luck, like staying injury-free.
So, let's relax and enjoy the regular season. It's not all about the end goal. And hey, even if your team isn't great, there's always something interesting to watch. Like Jarren Duran's at-bats or Ceddanne Rafaela's plays. They might not win titles, but they sure make the game fun to watch.
