Why Dana White Won’t Work with Francis Ngannou Again

UFC President Dana White isn’t mincing words about his feelings towards former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. After Ngannou accused the UFC of owing him money and called White a “bully, ” White fired back. He said Ngannou is “full of shit” and that the UFC never owes fighters money. White also shared that he wanted to cut Ngannou from the UFC after his losses but later supported him. However, personal issues between them led to a fallout. White believes Ngannou isn’t a good guy and isn’t someone he wants to do business with. Despite Ngannou’s success, White has no regrets about his departure and doesn’t see them working together again. White mentioned that Ngannou’s behavior before the first Stipe Miocic fight led him to want to cut ties, and things never improved. Ngannou later joined PFL and has hinted at returning to boxing. White made it clear that Ngannou won't get any favors from the UFC, including a potential rematch with current heavyweight champion Jon Jones. White believes another fighter, Tom Aspinall, deserves the spot instead.
