Why Ex-Teammate Stefon Diggs Thinks Josh Allen Deserves NFL MVP

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is making waves this NFL season with his remarkable performance. Even after the departure of star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Allen's game has only gotten stronger. Diggs, currently on injured reserve after tearing his ACL, has been watching Allen's progress from afar. "He should win MVP, " Diggs said during a recent appearance on Good Morning Football. "He's been playing amazing. " Diggs isn't surprised by Allen's stellar performance. "It's no secret that Josh Allen is amazing, " he said. "He's making those plays game in and game out. It's not new to anyone in the league. " Diggs believes that Allen is finally getting the recognition he deserves. "His respect is coming full circle, " Diggs added. "He's playing at a very high level. He deserves it. " Diggs has been a strong supporter of Allen, even before the trade to the Houston Texans. In a social media post last week, Diggs wrote, "He should shorty ballin fr, " in support of Allen's MVP case. This isn't the first time Diggs has shown his support for Allen. In April, he responded to an ESPN analyst's post suggesting Diggs wasn't essential to Allen's success with a simple, "You sure? " Diggs made his mark during his four seasons with the Bills, earning a Pro Bowl nod each year and being named first team All-Pro in 2020. Even after the trade, he still managed to have a significant impact. In Week 5, when the Bills met the Texans, Diggs led all players with 82 receiving yards in the Texans' 23-20 win. Allen is currently the favorite to win the MVP award. If he wins, he would be the first Bills quarterback to do so, following Thurman Thomas in 1991 and O. J. Simpson in 1973. Allen has finished in the top five of MVP voting in the past three seasons.
