Why Jon Jones Isn't Interested in Fighting Tom Aspinall

Jon Jones has made it clear he won't be fighting Tom Aspinall any time soon. What started as a career and legacy decision has now turned personal. Jones feels Aspinall has acted disrespectfully, which has turned him off from the idea of fighting him. Aspinall has been vocal about his desire to fight Jones, even calling him and Stipe Miocic "two old farts. " Jones, however, sees Pereira as a more respectful and worthy opponent who has the accolades to back up his claims.
Jones understands that Aspinall is seen as a serious threat, but he questions what beating him would really do for his career. He isn't sure if there's much to gain from a fight against Aspinall. Ultimately, Jones is focused on his upcoming fight against Miocic and has Pereira in mind for the future. If the UFC insists on the Aspinall fight and Jones isn't keen, he might just retire.
