Windows Gets a Darker Error Screen
USA, RedmondFri Jun 27 2025
Windows is changing its famous blue error screen to black. This change is part of a bigger plan to make Windows more reliable. Last year, a big problem called the CrowdStrike incident caused many Windows computers to crash. Now, Microsoft wants to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Microsoft is also adding a new feature called quick machine recovery. This feature will help fix problems faster, especially during big outages. It will be available on Windows 11 later this summer too.
