Xiaomi's Big European Launch: Phones, Tablets, and More!
UKSun Mar 02 2025
Xiaomi has just made a splash in Europe with its latest lineup of gadgets. The spotlight is on the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra phones. These aren't just any phones; they're packed with features like big batteries, fast charging, and IP68 ratings, which means they can handle a bit of water and dust. The phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, making them speedy and efficient.
The cameras on these phones are where things get interesting. Both the 15 and 15 Ultra have 50-megapixel main, telephoto, and ultrawide cameras. But the Ultra takes it up a notch with different sensors on every lens and a 200-megapixel, 4. 3x periscope lens. This makes the Ultra a powerhouse for photography enthusiasts. There's even a Photography Kit add-on for £179, which includes a camera grip with a shutter button, zoom lever, and exposure dial. It's like having a mini DSLR in your pocket!
Xiaomi didn't stop at phones. They also introduced the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro tablets. Both have 11. 2-inch displays with 3. 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The Pro model has a faster chip and better cameras. The Pad 7 starts at £369, while the Pad 7 Pro is £449. There's also a "Matte Glass" version of the Pro for £549, which should reduce screen glare.
The Buds 5 Pro earbuds are another highlight. They come in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi versions, with the Wi-Fi model offering better quality when paired with the 15 and 15 Ultra phones. Xiaomi also unveiled two wearables: the Smart Band 9 Pro with improved health tracking and the Watch S4, which brings back the swappable bezels from last year's Watch S3.
Xiaomi's move into Europe is a big deal. It shows they're serious about competing with other tech giants. But will these new gadgets be enough to win over European consumers? Only time will tell. One thing is for sure: Xiaomi is making waves, and it's exciting to see what they'll do next.
