Yemen Under Attack: WHO Chief Witnesses Strikes

Yemen, Sanaa, HodeidahFri Dec 27 2024
So, here's what happened. Israeli forces bombed key areas in Yemen, like Sanaa and Hodeidah. This attack left bodies on the ground and a United Nations team in danger. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the World Health Organization boss, was almost caught in the chaos. He tweeted about it, saying, "Just as we were about to leave, the airport got hit. Our plane got damaged, and so did the air traffic control tower and the runway. " This isn't the first time Yemen has seen such violence. The Israelis say they hit military targets to stop weapons from being smuggled in. But the Houthis, who run large parts of Yemen, call it aggression. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even said, "We won't stop until the mission is done. " It's a tricky situation. On one hand, Yemen's in a nasty conflict. On the other, Israel says it's just trying to stop bad guys. But is it helping, or making things worse? And why do we keep seeing these attacks?
