University students often engage in risky behaviors. These can include using drugs, eating poorly, not exercising, and even violence. These actions can seriously harm their health. In Iran, not much research has been done on this topic. A recent study focused on students in Khuzestan Province. It looked at how religion and family support affect risky behaviors. The study found different patterns of risky behaviors among students. Some students engaged in many risky behaviors. Others did not. The study also found that students who were more religious were less likely to take risks. Family support also played a role. Students with strong family support were less likely to engage in risky behaviors. This study is important because it sheds light on a topic that is not well understood. It shows that religion and family can be protective factors. This means they can help students avoid risky behaviors. The study also highlights the need for more research. Understanding these behaviors can help universities create better support systems for students. However, the study has some limitations. It only focused on one province in Iran. The results may not apply to all students in Iran. Also, the study relied on self-reported data. This means students reported their own behaviors. They may not have been completely honest. Despite these limitations, the study provides valuable insights. It shows that risky behaviors are common among university students. It also shows that religion and family support can help reduce these behaviors. Universities and policymakers can use this information to create better support systems for students.
