Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role in "Home Improvement, " is once again in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. This time, he and his girlfriend, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, were arrested in Eugene, Oregon. Bryan's arrest was due to a probation violation linked to a previous domestic violence conviction. He is currently serving a three-year probation period, which is set to end in October 2026.
Cartwright faces a more serious set of charges, including DUII (Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants), reckless endangering, and attempted first-degree assault. She is expected to appear in court soon. Bryan, on the other hand, was denied bail and will remain in jail until his next court appearance.
This isn't Bryan's first run-in with the law. His legal issues in Oregon started back in 2020 when he and Cartwright were involved in a heated dispute. He was initially charged with multiple offenses but was ultimately convicted of menacing. He was still on probation for that case when this recent incident occurred.
Bryan's legal troubles don't stop there. He has had other arrests in different states. In Oklahoma, he was charged with DUII, and in South Carolina, he was accused of assaulting and strangling Cartwright. Despite these incidents, Bryan recently claimed he is on a "journey toward personal growth" and is taking responsibility for his past actions.
However, a woman recently obtained a five-year restraining order against Bryan, accusing him of physical and verbal abuse in July. No criminal charges have been filed in this case. It's clear that Bryan's personal struggles are far from over, and his journey toward personal growth is proving to be a bumpy one.
