Nintendo is introducing a novel alarm clock called Alarmo, designed to make your mornings more entertaining. This device responds to movement, allowing you to snooze with a simple gesture or turn it off by getting out of bed. The clock is priced at $99. 99 and will be available for everyone in early 2025. However, Switch Online subscribers can already purchase it.
This new gadget might be the mysterious Nintendo product that passed through the Federal Communications Commission last month. It includes a 2. 4GHz Wi-Fi radio and a 24GHz mmWave sensor, making it quite advanced. The highlight of Alarmo is its immersive sounds from popular Switch games like Breath of the Wild, Pikmin 4, and Splatoon 3, to name a few. You get 35 audio scenes, and even more if you link it to your Nintendo account, which will unlock sounds from Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8 in future updates.
Beyond the fun sounds, Alarmo has intriguing sleep tracking features. It can show how much you move while sleeping, and you can set hourly chimes themed to your favorite game. There are two alarm modes: Steady, where the alarm intensifies the longer you stay in bed, and Gentle, which offers consistent intensity. Plus, there's a traditional Button Mode for those who like hitting the snooze button. To make bedtime soothing, you can choose sleepy sounds to relax before drifting off.
