Zyn Pouches: A New Way to Nicotine, Less Harmful Than Cigarettes

You might have heard of Zyn pouches – they’re like tiny bags filled with nicotine, but without the smoke. The FDA just said these are safer than cigarettes and can now be sold in the US. Philip Morris, the company behind Zyn, had to promise not to advertise to kids. Only about 1. 8% of teens use these pouches, but that’s still a concern. The FDA will keep an eye on how Zyn is marketed to make sure kids don’t get hooked.
Nicotine pouches have become really popular, with sales jumping by 641% in just three years. Adults aren’t using them much, but some people trying to quit smoking do. The USC found that 2. 9% of adults have tried them, which is pretty low. Zyn was sold by Swedish Match, and Philip Morris bought them in a big deal worth $16 billion. This deal made Philip Morris the leader in the nicotine market.
