Summary

Baozi, or simply bao, is a type of yeast-leavened filled bun in various Chinese cuisines. There are many variations in fillings and preparations, though the buns are most often made from wheat flour and steamed. They are a variation of mantou from Northern China.

Quite frankly, most english speaking people are looking for Baozi when they search this pharse. I'd never heard of Koah-pau, and the page makes no mention of the Baozi people are actually looking for. Looking at the talk page for that page, it seems to be a very contested dish, and this re-direct seems to have gotten pulled into that argument.
