IPad kid
Pejorative slang term
Summary
iPad kid is a pejorative slang term typically used to refer to younger Generation Z and Generation Alpha children who are addicted to computers, phones, and tablets, like the iPad, and who display negative behaviors as a result of said addiction. The usage dates back to the 2010s but the term has gone viral several times.

/* Description */
Removing AfD-merge template; the 2024 AfD doesn't relate the current [[iPad kid]] page, which was created in September 2025; rather it relates to an older version that was redirected to [[Glossary of 2020s slang]] on 12 June 2024; see [[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:IPad_kid&action=history]]
PER AFD
Edited and better attributed quote in "Description" section
Added the term used to describe Generation Alpha (Gen Alpha)
I changed "with" to "to" because people have addictions TO things, not addictions WITH them.
